5. Mark Nomes, Abe. "Ozu & Hou" Part of a University of California, Berkeley website. http://cinemaspace.berkeley.edu/Papers/CityOfSadness/ozu.html This site provides general information about Ozu, quotes from his critics, and some analysis of various aspects of his cinematic style. There are no sources cited on the web page. It can however, be deemed somewhat reliable since it is an academic site affiliated with the University of California at Berkeley. The information on the site is somewhat general and does assume very much knowledge on the part of the reader. It seems to be intended for the general public who may or may not have any background in film. I think that this site has some value and a starting point in researching Yasujiro Ozu. The quotes provided by the "Critical voices" link are informative, as are the analyses of Ozu's techniques as a filmmaker. The site does, however, leave something to be desired and should only be used as a starting point or as a supplemental resource. - Brad Alexander
