Cinemaniac is a site that provides numerous links to film based sites. It contains links to sites about film theory, reviews, history, directors, institutes, resources, memorabilia, production, catalogues, commentary, and festivals. There are no sources for Cinemaniac due to the fact that it is merely a site that enables a surfer to navigate to many other related sites. The author of the site is not provided. However, they are most likely a film student or a film aficionado and have some affiliation with Middle Tennessee State University. The sites goal is to provide the surfer with a "launching pad" to as many sites pertaining to film as possible. The site is mainly directed towards film aficionados. Yet, the site does have links to sites containing a good deal of educational information.

Cinemaniac is an excellent site in the fact that it provides the surfer with many sites about film while remaining highly organized. This site is well structured for the amount of information it can provide. However, the links vary greatly in quality. In other words, about half the sites listed on Cinemaniac are of little quality to anyone other than pleasure surfers while the other half are very well constructed, informative sites. Cinemaniac can be a fantastic resource if the surfer navigates with discretion. Using one's judgment can mean the difference between finding fan club sites to sites that discuss the theoretical aspects of postmodern filmmaking. If one has faith in their ability to search the web with prudence this site can be an invaluable resource; however, if a surfer doubts their own judgment this site should be avoided at all costs.
